UNCG Online MS in Gerontology Course Design

UNCG Online worked with faculty over the course of several years to develop the only fully online graduate program in Gerontology in North Carolina. The program features 7-week courses with an emphasis on applied learning. The program prepares professionals to be leaders in the field of gerontology, as they graduate with a broad and integrated understanding of aging that can be applied to various career paths.

I worked with our team of instructional designers and coders, as well as faculty in the field of Gerontology, to design ten online courses for the program. The course websites are fully responsive and meet accessibility standards. I also created a style guide for the program to ensure consistency across all courses. This project spanned from 2017 to 2020. The GRO suite has been very well received by students and faculty.

The Master of Science in Gerontology has been ranked as a Best Online Master’s in Gerontology by Online Schools Report. It is accredited by the Accreditation for Gerontology Education Council (AGEC).
